1. A number of programmes have been undertaken to mark the 20th AIDS day and it is a good beginning where mankind has woken to the disease deadly repurcusions.
2. We need to fight against the prejudices which an individual has to undergo on being detected with AIDS.
3.The UN recently reduced its estimate of the number of people with HIV/Aids, but the figure still stands at 33 million.
4.UN chief Ban Ki-moon said strong leadership was needed if the fight against the disease was to be won.
Campaigners have warned that progress in treating and slowing the disease is breeding complacency about the risks.
