1. One mut be educated of the facts of AIDS as knowing the disease is like winning half the battle.
2. Avoid use of alcohol or drugs.
3. Avoid reuse of needles like needles used in injections and tattooing or for injecting substances such as steroids, vitamins, hormones or insulin.
4. Protect yourself and use a latex condom.
5. Avoid coming in contact with a person's blood, semen or vaginal fluid.
