SAFE HOUSEKEEPING

1. HIV virus is very delicate, gets killed easily.

2. No special additional cleaning, washing, decontamination methods are required other than those routinely used for hospitals.

3. Routine waste and garbage of HIV infected patient is no more hazardous than any ordinary patient.

4. Disinfectant fogging is unnecessary and is not recommended. Usual hospital methods of cleaning with soap and water is sufficient.
