1. Infective wastes include needles syringes , instruments , containers , laboratory wastes- culture stocks of infective agents , tissues , body parts and infected human foetus.
2. They should be collected and stored separately in containers , preferably closed.
3. Hospital wastes should be burnt in the incinerator.
4. Blood and body fluids should be safely flushed down a toilet or drain connected to sanitary sewer.
