1. When ever a micro organism attacks our body, the immunity system fights against it and thus if the micro organism is defeated it gets programmed in body that this type of micro organism is to be defeated in this manner.
2. Similarly a vaccine acts like a micro organism and make the immunity system to get stimulated and thus the effect s pre recorded with the body and in case the body encounters the micro organism of similar type it mounts attack on it vigorously.
