1. Transfer of blood , sera and other specimens have potential threat of HIV infection .
2. The specimen container should be labeled as ‘INFECTIOUS’.
3. Contamination outside the container should be washed off with a disinfectant.
4. Specimen container should be placed in a secondary container, either metal or plastic, during transportation
